Ayrshire public hearing

November 26, 2007

November 26, 2007. Gary Lillie will soon have four 1-acre building sites on the highly sought after northeast side of Ann Arbor – that is if Ann Arbor Township approves a sewer district for the property at a special public hearing this coming Wednesday, November 28. Stay tuned. Gary has only been working on this project since 2001. Keith once told Gary, “You’re like a bulldog – you get ahold of something and won’t let go.”

Heck – anyone can do the easy ones.

The Sperry Van Ness Difference

November 19, 2007

November 19, 2007. From the first day it lists a property, Sperry Van Ness is the only commercial brokerage firm in existence, the only one, that markets its listings to a 60,000 outside commercial brokers and 40,000 investors in its database. As soon as the property recieves its own web site, an email blast is sent out to 100,000 people. Who knows which one may produce the highest offer for your property?

Because of its national reach that includes primary, secondary and tertiary markets, Sperry Van Ness excels at seamlessly locating investment options on behalf of clients across the country by leveraging the power of all brokers — even those with competing firms.

Unlike most brokerage firms, everything that Sperry Van Ness does is designed to achieve better results for real estate owners. Frankly, no other national commercial brokerage firm commits to putting the client’s interest first as quickly and effectively as Sperry Van Ness. It’s proven through our people and processes.

Year after year, transaction after transaction, our results prove it. Maximum cooperation equals maximum value.

Tired of being brokered?…

November 12, 2007

…So were Rand Sperry and Mark Van Ness.

November 12, 2007. In 1987, frustrated with the way the industry handled clients and transactions, Sperry and Van Ness did something about it. They pioneered a better way of handling investment real estate transactions that put the client’s interests first. Their mission? Create unprecedented value for commercial Advisors and their clients. Today, Sperry Van Ness is one of the fastest growing commercial real estate firms in the nation, with a revolutionary business proposition:

“Put the client’s interests ahead of our own.”

The Sperry Van Ness philosophy happened to coincide with Gary Lillie’s philosophy, first stated in 1972:

“Never focus on commissions. Do what’s right and the commissions will take care of themselves.”

Portions of the above were taken from the Sperry Van Ness corporate web site.

A successful farm auction

November 5, 2007

November 5, 2007. The Clinton Farm Auction was not only a success, producing a cash sale with no contingencies; but as the seller signed the sales contract he said to Joe: “You are a genius!”

The farm sold to the highest bidder for $627,000. Prior to Joe auctioning the farm it had been listed for well over a year with other brokers and another auctioneer had once tried to auction it. Our marketing program brought out a total of eight qualified bidders that registered and showed their $25,000.00 cashiers check to be used for earnest money deposit if they were the successful bidder.

If you seek limited marketing time, a cash sale with no contingencies, and a sure sale; the no-reserve auction method is for you.
